cultureNOW - water tower bike rack
Nothing is more fulfilling than feeling a sense of community. CultureNOW celebrates our cultural environment beyond the physical constraints of our museums, and envisions the world as a “Museum Without Walls.” Both their online gallery and phone app map art and architecture installations all over the world to help the public better visualize the richness and diversity of our community, and ultimately understand the world better. We couldn’t be happier to be a part of this thr

woodcraft digifab wall
We learn a lot from working with local craftsmen in the Austin community. Recently, we teamed up with Vintage Material Supply to create a CNC milled formliner for our concrete tree wall in the vestibule of Woodcraft, Austin – one of our projects currently under construction. Woodcraft is a retail facility that sells woodworking tools and supplies. We envision the vestibule to celebrate the craft of woodworking through various architectural assemblies: wood board formed concre

woodcraft construction starts
Construction of our latest project, Woodcraft Austin, recently began. The construction administration process involves regular visits up to the site. During our recent site visit, we observed the preparation work for the pouring of the concrete foundation. This entails drilling almost 8 feet into bedrock and setting the rebar, erecting the steel base plates and columns, and setting up the formwork – all prior to pouring the concrete. A lot of coordination is needed to ensure

fabrication of the water tower bike rack
Fabrication on the water tower bike rack is in full swing. The individual panels have been CNC plasma cut and bent. Now, Alan and Bo are spending long hours working with the welder to assemble the panel families and prep them for final painting. Thanks to the City of Austin’s Art in Public Places program for making this project possible. Art in Public Places project link #projects #fabrication #all

We had a great time at the soft opening for aRoma Italian Kitchen & Bar, enjoying Italian wine, sampling some of their cuisine, and catching up with friends and family. Make sure to check it out down on South Lamar, right next to the Broken Spoke – and of course, let us know what you think. Getting feedback from the community is always helpful! aRoma I

de-Arbification complete
We are excited to attend the soft opening of the completely remodeled hat creek burger co. on Burnet Road in ATX. Starting life as an old Arby's, the building was completely transformed by with a new skin that is faithful to the Hat Creek branding we have developed. The "de-Arbification" is complete! Props to Hat Creek for being a great client that believes in our vision and is willing to be "ballsy" project link #projects #all

winning in waco
We’ve teamed up with Ellis Isle Equities to develop a 95 unit residential loft development in downtown Waco. The heart of the project is the 90 year old Stratton Furniture building which will be restored to house Art House, a basement pub, a coffee shop and residences. This is a competition put out by the Business Resource Center and its sister organization the Waco Downtown Development Corp. On Thursday they selected our proposal as the winner and are moving forward with neg
