Construction of our latest project, Woodcraft Austin, recently began. The construction administration process involves regular visits up to the site. During our recent site visit, we observed the preparation work for the pouring of the concrete foundation. This entails drilling almost 8 feet into bedrock and setting the rebar, erecting the steel base plates and columns, and setting up the formwork – all prior to pouring the concrete. A lot of coordination is needed to ensure proper placement of all of these structural pieces so that the other building assemblies fit accordingly. We are really looking forward to the next step when our precast board formed concrete walls are installed.
