stretch dog house
This project was designed and built for the annual Austin Barkitecture event held downtown on 2nd Street. A play upon the traditional iconic form of the dog house, the entrance is created by pulling away the roof and one corner as opposed to cutting the conventional hole within the center of the front face. Slats were incorporated to allow for cross ventilation. On the back side of the house, behind a swinging door, a storage area holds dog food and treats. Fabrication incorporated the use of a CNC router to cut the wood pieces prior to assembly.
